Bet Midrash means “House of Study”, or even more accurately “House of Inquiry”. It is the traditional Hebrew term for the place where we get together to inquire deeply into Jewish study.
In addition to our calendar of weekend retreats and longer intensives, the Lev Shalem Institute also offers courses that meet weekly, providing opportunities for longer-term study and engagement with some compelling topics. These courses make up the Bet Midrash at LSI. For six weeks in the fall semester and eight weeks in the spring semester, the Lev Shalem Institute will be offering courses on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation.
Study our calendar of events and look for the Bet Midrash Series. You will find exciting courses that will give you tools and inspiration for your spiritual growth while deepening your Jewish knowledge, plus the priceless bonus of a thoughtful, passionate and open-minded community of fellow seekers with whom to learn and grow.
