Greetings All, Shalom Aleichem (Peace Be With You)!
Following more than a year of planning and preparation, we are delighted to introduce you to the Lev Shalem Institute of the Woodstock Jewish Congregation, via this blog and our beautiful new website. I encourage you to explore this site, learn about our approach and vision, and read up on all the great workshops, classes and retreats that you are invited to attend throughout the coming year.
The Woodstock Jewish Congregation’s Hebrew name is “Kehillat Lev Shalem”, the Congregation of a Full Heart, and at the Lev Shalem Institute (LSI) we wish to support and inspire you to fill your heart through the wisdom and gifts of Judaism and Jewish traditions.
To assist you in taking your next steps with us, we have divided our site into four areas: Torah (Learning), Neshama (Spiritual Growth), Refuah (Healing), and Simcha (Joy). Perhaps one (or all!) of these words speaks to you at this moment in your life. Please take your time exploring each of these pages.
Our registration process isn’t fully set up yet, so please call Anna at 845 679 2218 to register or for more information. And watch the site as it grows – we will be adding resources regularly, so that even if you can’t to be with us in person, you can still find inspiration by visiting our website.
I am looking forward to sharing the journey with you!
